Kriya yoga has found a place in some people who are looking for a deeper, more spiritual relationship with their lives. It is a kundalini oriented yoga and meditation technique, that also teaches certain spiritual and esoteric principles. Unfortunately, like many similar "spiritual" power structures, it teaches you that essentially your power lies outside of yourself - that is, that you need a 'guru', or 'master' to access your own innate spirituality.

Kriya yoga has some aims which sound both appealing and promising. They aim to eliminate "obstructions" and "obstacles" from the mind and body. Point of view is a very interesting thing here, however. Because what is an obstacle or obstruction to one person, may not be to another. This assumes a very interesting light in reference to power structures and belief systems, and highlights why it is important to maintain your own self sovereignty in mind and action.
Kriya yoga was brought to the West by Yogananda in the 1920's. He established the Self-Realization Fellowship as a 'total yoga' system that tried to address spiritual as well as physical aspects of self.

Kriya yoga is derived mainly from three other yoga techniques - karma yoga, bhakti yoga, and Jnana yoga. Karma yoga focuses on the movement of the soul both inside and outside of the mind. Jnana yoga focuses on wisdom, allowing the mind freedom. Bhakti yoga focuses on love, as it allows you to come to terms with everything around you. The aim in combining them was to "purify" the mind and soul, and proponents of kriya yoga believe they can achieve self realization more quickly this way than following the other disciplines.

The first step in Kriya is to 'prepare' your body, and that is done in one of a couple of ways. For many, Hatha yoga is the perfect preparation exercise. For others, though, who may not be as flexible, alternatives are provided.

Breathing stance is very important for a jogger

When you are jogging there are several breathing techniques that you should keep in mind. Breathing can increase your jogging performance and the way you feel. You should not be breathing heavy when jogging or be unable to talk. This means that you are breathing in an incorrect way.When you are jogging you should be breathing through your nose. When you breath through your nose you are essentially taking in more oxygen. If you breath through your mouth while jogging this will cause you to breath heavier and to feel more exhausted.

Many coaches will instruct you that if you are becoming out of breath when you jog or if you are breathing heavy then you are probably breathing the wrong way. Joggers should breath through their nose and take long deep breaths. This means that you are receiving an optimal amount of oxygen.Besides breathing stance is very important for a jogger. If a jogger holds their arm too high then this can cause a jogger to have a poorer time. Many joggers like to run a certain amount of distance in a certain time. If you hold your arms up and close to your body this will cause you to have a poorer time. When you jog you should breath through your nose and your arms should hang down around your sides. Your body stance should be comfortable while you jog. There are several websites that have downloadable jogging tips that deal with posture and breathing techniques.If you are too out of breath then you may want to take it easy on your jog as you build yup your endurance and cardiovascular system. If you have questions about the right way to breath while jogging there are dozens of professional coaches that will be willing to answer all of your questions.

Many of these coaches have websites. Some charge money for advice and others offer free advice. When you are jogging every coach will tell you that you should be enjoying yourself.Jogging is a different type of exercise that is not only about becoming healthier but it is about having fun. Jogging is a fun activity that should give you a lot of pleasure at the end or beginning of the day. If you are breathing too heavy or out of breath this may cause you to become discouraged or frustrated while jogging. Enjoy yourself and your exercise program.

Memory and Visualization

Who want to remember better? I guessed many of us would probably raise our hands. Almost all human beings want to remember better especially the stuff we need to use. Our children need good memory for helping them in school. Almost all brain processes need memory to help relating the known which is already in memory with the unknown which is the new things we learn. Therefore learning memory techniques can help enhancing our development of growth in life. Do you know that your memory needs visualization? It needs something to help remembering. The process is not just trying to associate the tings you want to remember with the things you already remember and never forget, at least during the time you want that memory. In this article we will learn how to make use of visualization and help the memory process.

How do we remember things? We associate the things in my memory and the things we just learn. The way of association depends on the technique each individual use. The tip is that people remember pictures better than words. However, most people are used to remembering in words and use this technique all the time when they need remembering. The result is that they often forget what they want to remember and complaining that their brain does not work well. Some think that because they are too old to remembering stuff. It is not the brain. Neither is it their ages. It is the technique. If we learn to remember in picture or we can call visualization. We can remember better no matter how old we are. Now. How do we use visualization? Get ready. This is four steps on using visualization and making your memory better.

Step 1 Organize what you want to remember.
Normally what we want to remember are not only a few sentence or a word but in stead we need to remember a series of story or principles or may be a chapter of lesson we just learn. All of the contents need to be in order. Some may not require that but it is easier if they are organized in order. For example, if we want to remember the names of the first ten presidents of the United States, we would rather need it in order although the teacher may not require that. Write it down in paper. If it is already in the text book, take the note out the major headings. Organizing the materials will help the process to be smoother and more effective. Make them in sequence and order.
Step 2 Build house files.

Build them in your mind. Try to make the picture of your five favorite rooms. May be the first room is your bed room. This will be your bed room file in your mind. Look for the position that you can put your memory and will never forget. Pick up five places. For example, the first position is at your TV, second at your bed, third at your right stool, fourth at your drawer and fifth at your mirror. Now we have five places to store our memory and we will never forget since we live with this every day. Do the same with other rooms. Make sure that we apply the same procedure of picking up the five areas so that we do not mix up the order of the areas. If you do this with five rooms, we have twenty five places to store our memory.

Step 3 Visualize of your contents and put them in your house files.
Picture your contents. For example if you want to remember the name of George Washington, you may visualize your friend, George. You have a friend named George, right? You see George diligently washing tons of tons of dishes. Once you visualize this, you will never forget. Put this image onto your first house file which is you TV. Now every time you start remembering the name of the first presidents of the United States, you see your friend George washing tons of dishes in your bed room TV. Do the same with the rest of the contents. The more outrageous the pictures are, the better you can remember the contents. Put them onto your house files. Make sure that they are in order as you have arranged previously.
Step 4 Practice and review them until you get all.

Like any other learning processes. You need to practice and review until you are good at it. “Repetition is the mother of the skill.” As I remember Tony Robbins said. Make sure that you do this often enough.

In the Science of Getting Rich one of the most powerful concepts is the Law of Attraction Accelerator. What exactly is this? Looks complicated and difficult isn't it? You can't be further from the truth. It is actually a very simple principle. What do you do when you speed up on the road? Do you look here and there at the scenery?


A normal person would concentrate on the road ahead. Now, using this analogy what would you do if you want to speed up on your way to wealth and success. FOCUS. Yes, that is exactly what I would do. Once you have made up your mind and have the big picture in your mind, go for it. Don't hesitate. Don't look around. Go right ahead with the gas pedal hitting the floor. Now, I know wringing the neck doesn't fetch a great picture in the mind. But, please pardon me; this is what we are required to do. Have you ever seen a sugarcane thresher? Maybe you haven't. But let me tell you, it squeezes out every drop of sugarcane juice from the cane. If it did not, it wouldn't be doing its job. So, you might well ask. Am I supposed to behave like a sugarcane thresher? Well, I would say, yes and at the same time no. Yes, because that's what focus is all about.


You can't wish to be something but not work towards it. And why not? Because we are on this earth to enjoy. Be happy. Realize our dreams. Not get squeezed. But expand. Our thoughts should encompass the whole universe. If we accomplish what we want doesn't mean others are going to be deprived. Not at all. There is enough of happiness going around in the universe. There should be a feeling of plenty, not of scarcity. That's where putting your weight behind your thoughts comes in. Once you have decided on what you want, you should put all your might to achieve it. The universe will multiply your efforts a thousand times and reflect it back to you. This is the Law of Attraction's essence. You may think from the above statements that it would be a monumental task to achieve this concentration. And let me tell you, it couldn't be easier.


he crux of the idea is to be positive and device ways to remain in this positive frame of mind. The universe and the Law of Attraction would do the rest. Just get on to the path of success and start driving towards your destination. The rest would be taken care of by nature. As you move down the road to success, events and situations would be created which would accelerate and speed you up towards your true destiny. You have to just focus on your destination. Rest would be taken care of. It looks so simple. Yet most of us flounder on the way. As soon as we see the first bump on the road, we lose heart and change direction. And when we meander all over the place, we wonder how we got there in the first place. The Law of Attraction is universal. If you have positive thoughts they would get absorbed by the universe and rebound back manifold.


The same goes for negative thoughts. Remember, the universe is neutral. Like a mirror. If you send out negative signals, you will see negativity reflected around you. So you have to be careful. Always think positively. The more you think positively, more positive things will happen to you. And it will all add up. And focus is all important. Imagine your mind to be a lens. When you hold the lens against the light, what happens? It collects all the dispersed light and points it at one specific point. And then it burns the patch you are holding the lens on. Don't you think the same is happening to your thoughts? Indeed it is. The more focused you are, more likely you will set a scorching pace towards success. Get rid of negativity. It disperses your energy. Get hold of positive thoughts by the scruff of the neck and keep twisting till the essence is realized.

“I want to lose weight”… This is not a clearly defined product, because it can be achieved in millions of ways. One person can lose 1 Kilo while another can lose 10 Kilos and so on. It is neither clear nor specific.

“I want to lose 10 Kilos in three months” … This is a well defined product.
So, before you start taking action to achieve any desired goal, you must first make sure that you clearly know what you want.
The most important thing you must know is the driving force of your life; the reason why you exist. What is your purpose in life? What is your life all about?
You must know it and clearly define it in order to live with meaning, passion and satisfaction. Otherwise, when you achieve a certain goal you will face the shocking question: “What is next?!”…
* The second step in Edison’s Success philosophy is to: experiment until the correct method is found.

This step was a breakthrough for me. Before knowing it, I was wondering why I’d never been able to set a correct and complete plan the first time. Why I had to always change my plan? And if I have to always do that, then why is planning useful?
After discovering this amazing secret, I found the answer.
First, your plan must be very flexible because IT WILL CHANGE. As you move towards your goals you will discover new horizons. Your mind will stretch and your knowledge will increase so you will see better routes and accordingly you will change your plan.
But you wouldn’t be able to start without having the initial plan. Otherwise you would fail because you would be walking blindly without direction.

The first plan will give you the sense of the right track of exploration and discovery. Then you will improve it and even change it as you understand and see more.
So, be ready for failures, obstacles and difficulties and be open to learn the hidden lessons in them. Because each lesson will help you come closer to the correct method.
Edison invented the light bulb after 9999 trials!!! He didn’t consider them as failures. He perceived them as experiments. He didn’t give up saying that it is impossible to achieve this goal. Instead, he continued with his experiments believing that the correct method is on its way.
