An Essential Depression Self Help Secret

Depression self help is absolutely essential to being free of depression. Even if youre taking antidepressants or are getting psychiatric care or therapy, if you dont practice self help, you wont enjoy the full recovery you deserve.

Heres a depression self help secret you can use to make depression a part of your past, not your future:

One of the fastest ways to get yourself into a state of anxiety or depression is to get lost in what I call the Valley of Overwhelmed. The Valley of Overwhelmed is also a place of stress and a place where confidence and self esteem have a tendency to disappear. The combination of stress and lack of confidence and low self esteem is a sure recipe for depression.

I spent over twenty years dealing with recurring severe depression and anxiety, and I always thought that when depression or anxiety hit me, it came out of nowhere. I was wrong.

Ive since learned that depression, even whats known as clinical depression and even bipolar depression, and all forms of anxiety start with a thought. Yes, a thought.

Knowing this secret is the most important depression self help information in the world! In fact, I believe depression self help and other depression treatments will fail you if you dont know and act on this secret.

Now, before you get all excited, know that Im not saying that these conditions arent chemical. Because they are.

But that chemical reaction in your body doesnt come out of nowhere. It starts with a thought.

You do know that your mind and your body are connected, right?

Of course you do.

So heres how the Valley of Overwhelmed triggers depression.

When you have many problems or you have a lot to do or you have a lot to learn, its easy to start feeling like its too much. You have too much to do, too much not to do, too much to remember, too much to take on. The feeling that you cant handle what you need to handle is an incredibly paralyzing feeling.

It creates a thought of Why bother? Its too much. Or Its too scary. Its these thoughts that then trigger depression and anxiety.

So what can you do?

Heres the depression self help steps to healing that you must know:

First, make a decision. Commit to doing one thing to move yourself forward.

Second, take action. Do that one thing.

Third, keep your focus on your outcome, what you expect to have happen. Be clear about what you know you get to have.

Staying focused on your outcome and staying in action can keep you out of the Land of Overwhelmed. And staying out of the Land of Overwhelmed is the best depression self help you can give yourself.

Why Would You Lie to Boost Your Self-Esteem?

Do you lie to boost you self-esteem? Making yourself look good in front of others is meaningless if you are not being true to yourself. You will just end up living in Never-Never Land. The truth will always catch up with you. If you start off being honest in the first place, you are actually giving yourself the strongest starting point to get to where you want to go. You can easily identify what needs to change.

You can argue it is human nature to lie in from of certain people as to save face. Lying uncontrollably in certain situations will prevent you from looking bad. The consequences of lying are further reaching. You may feel you self esteem is boosted in that instant but really it will just create more stress and anxiety for you. You have set a perception of what is now expected of you. If you cannot achieve what you said you can, you will have to tell more lies in order to maintain the perception.

The mountain of lies you create will eventually just cause you to slip up as lies start to contradict themselves. You said one thing to one person, something else to another. Someone somewhere will rumble this, doubt the congruence of your life and also lose respect for you. This will damage any relationship.

So why do you lie? It is because your self-esteem feels threatened. And as your brain does not know the difference between reality and a vivid imagination, you boost your self esteem by deceiving it with the lies. You are only cheating yourself. The only way to stop this is to build a real foundation of self-esteem by accepting who you are right now.

How Spiritual Abuse Compares to Other Forms of Abuse

Comparing abuse of any kind to anything is in and of itself part of the idiocy of our so called great society of scholars, by the name supposedly educated, yet actually contrary to intelligence.

Spiritual thought process is lost in such an asinine atmosphere, for example political correctness has misused and misuses everything that spirituality deals with, or means, especially considering common sense, with the result being our great nation is in the greatest turmoil we have seen in more years than most have been in one body. Perhaps with some contemplation it will become clear.

Children will show the truth of spirit for as long as they are allowed, in innocence of all behavior. Adolescents and adults are the result of whatever misplaced notions of discipline they have been subjected to. Our spirit is never apart from us, though we do not always realize that fact because for whatever reasons of abuse it is broken, just like training a dog or any animal to do what instinctively does not come naturally. Break the spirit to the point of submission or subservience, which is the abuse, and the cause of most of our ignorance in the human form, as we are the so called most intelligent species.

Confusing the spirit to our with our own behavior is another part of the abuse, usually self inflicted, be it emotional or mental, though with the mental it is possible that the chemistry of the brain is perhaps at fault for some of the cause. Emotionally we usually will stop maturing wherever the abuse of the spirit started, as in the forty year old who emotionally is only thirteen or so.

Breaking the spirit in people is the common denominator in the problem of intelligence. It is only those who have never been broken of spirit who are truly brilliant in whatever the endeavor pursued, as common sense has not been lost to the memorization of stuff. Stuff will clear itself in the case of brilliance because spiritually openness and truth is never lost to trauma.

Love needs to be the greatest presence in of our existence, be it spiritual love our physical, though actually in reality they are of one and the same substance. Abuse of spirit is the cause of delusion in the case of what love is defined as, and in our society today delusion is rampant, one only needs to look at the media of any kind to find the truth of the matter. Lies are being turned into truths, though it is only an illusion of truth which will show itself sooner than some realize. Delusion of the spirit is unsustainable, which is why life and love goes on, chaotically or in a structured chaos.

Maintaining the spirit throughout our lives is only accomplished with the help of those who raise us in the absence of abuse, be it verbal or physical. Most deal with the situations dealt and lead lives filled with love and a positive perspective in the sense of who they fall in love with, be it forever or just growing up, which is the point, we all need to grow up, better late than never, though it is interesting just what the spirit tells us as we grow in years and or wisdom. In other words the young can benefit from the old always, yet spiritually the young can be older than the old, all depending on abuse or hopefully the lack thereof.

What Is Stress And What To Do About It

Stress is a fear that some resisted experience will happen unless you control something that is out of your control.

For example, you might be facing eviction unless you can pay your rent. And you don't have any certain way of making an income.

Or you might be in danger of experiencing the wrath of a person who explodes for no apparent reason.

Or you might fear condemnation and there seems to be nothing you can do about it.

The keys to unraveling this are one or more of

* Let go of the resistance. One way to do this is to feel the feeling associated with the resistance and then loving the feeling. You will be amazed at how effective this can be.

* Communicate with the people in the situation. Get yourself in a good mood before contacting the person / people. It might help to write out what you're going to say. There is no need to try to memorize this. The idea is to clarify your thinking. Then you can discuss the situation in a friendly manner. You might find that the person is helpful and comes up with solutions for you.

* Learn more about the area, e.g., get more training in the subject area so you can get more control.

* Pray. This isn't presenting a wish list to God. You can simply ask for God's help.

* Turn everything over to God. Be willing to accept whatever God sends your way.

* Put the situation in a different context. You might consider the situation to be a thrilling challenge.

* See what you can learn from the situation. Then move forward with your new knowledge.

If you keep doing one of more of the above on a regular basis, you'll expand the quality of your life. Why not give it a try?

Is Workplace Conflict Destructive or Creative?

Whenever you work with people, conflict is inevitable. The tension created by daily conflict either results in wasted time, decreased productivity, and poor decisions or the sort of internal competition that pushes each individual to do their best, if for no other reason that convince their coworkers that they can do it.

This inevitable conflict is either destructive or creative. The destructive conflict is toxic to relationships and hurts people and organizations and this is the one that needs managing. In my experience creative conflict seems to be cultural in nature. It's how the people themselves react and address each other and the situations they face together.

If you've ever seen "American Chopper" on the Discovery Channel you know what I mean by creative conflict. There is a lot of yelling going on. These guys are not shy about sharing their opinions when they disagree with one another. If you were a stranger who walked into their shop you might think WWIII had broken out.

In fact, that is how they relate to one another - there is no ambiguity, they tell it like it is in the moment. Imagine how much more they accomplish because they use the tension to air their different opinions, right now - and then get on with it. It's possible that this is just a TV show and these guys have nice quiet meetings in the board room, listening to various committee reports, before the speak up, but that's not likely. I bet they are who we see them as being.

In three decades working with family businesses I have seen dozens and dozens of companies who harness conflict creatively, and in so doing get the most out of everyone as well as optimum results overall. They don't waste time on what's not working just because it was the bosses idea. They stop what they're doing and point out the other person's mistake then show them how to fix it. Nothing and no one or their opinion is sacred - it's all about getting the job done.

Sadly I have seen experts try to get them to change their behavior, be more polite to one another and offer more politically correct input in an ever more constructive manner. In other words they (the experts) want other people to be more like them.

So instead of helping their clients manage the destructive conflict that exists, they are offering suggestions on how to fix what isn't broken.

I am talking about the conflict that distracts employees and managers from otherwise productive use of their time. Studies reveal that up to 30% of a typical managers time is spent dealing with conflict. And that 42 percent of their time is spent reaching agreements with others when conflicts occur.

Sometimes destructive conflict is simply because the people don't like each other. In the universe of family owned companies sometimes brothers, sisters, cousins, and in-laws are thrown together in ways none of them like. Conflict is the only way they have of displaying the frustration they feel about the situation they're in.

It is no wonder that an estimated 65% of performance problems result from strained relationships like these. Between employees who are not happy with each other - not from deficits in their training, skill, or motivation.

The most common way that destructive conflict shows up is about "how" a certain task should be accomplished. I met a farmer once whose son (age 50) refused to do things the way he wanted them done. He sited an example by driving me on the back of his four wheeler (you could not get there any other way) to a field that illustrated his point.

He and his father before him had always plowed the field north to south - his son was plowing it east to west. I am not making this up. It didn't have anything to do with soil erosion, conservation, or the environment - he was doing it this way against his dad's wishes, just to get his goat. And it was working.

I bet you can think of things at your company that are being done a certain way because that's the way they've always been done. And if you're the one who wants to change history, good luck!

Destructive conflict about how things are being done, what things are being done, and whether or not a certain thing should even be done can paralyze the organization.

Wasted time arguing about things that don't matter, an unwillingness to consider another person's point of view based on their experience, and the blame game when the results are in all cry out for a self-help process you can use to manage your differences so that all conflict is creative.

The end result of a successful self-help mediation process is that you (as a group) turn together and focus on the challenge or opportunity you all face. You see the problem as the stumbling block and not your coworker.

Self-help mediation tools allow two individuals the opportunity to discuss their assumptions about the other person's motives. In many conflicts the simple process of testing these assumptions face to face using active listening skills will resolve the issue entirely, because the parties realize the conflict is simply a misunderstanding.

Self-help mediation tools pave the way for more effective decision making. Obviously decisions made under conditions of conflict are going to be inferior to decisions made when cooperation prevails. If ongoing conflict (even a low grade resistance to cooperation) is present between people who share decision-making authority, the resulting decisions are likely to be flawed by the power struggles between those people.

As business owners we know that good decisions must be based on an optimum quality and quantity of objective information. So when information is withheld or distorted by those we are depending on to provide it, the decision cannot be the best one possible.

There is now doubt, workplace conflict resolution strategies - especially those that will allow you to do it yourself - will save you money, time, energy, and enhance your workplace by helping you make better decisions, retain your best employees, and design a future course for the business everyone will actively support!

30 Days to Creating Super Habits

Creating super habits are easier than you could ever imagine. Most people have something they would like to change in their lives. If you ask anyone, they are usually able to answer this question, "If you could change anything about yourself, what would you change." All the self help and personal development programs and books available today are full of useful information that nobody seems to take advantage of. You've seen the TV commercials and listen to other people tell their stories, about how they lost weight.

Are you one of those skeptics that find these stories hard to believe. Do you think it's possible to create a life changing habit within 30 days? If you don't think it's possible, have you ever tried to change something about yourself you don't like.

If you haven't tried, how do you know it's impossible. If you have tried to create change in your life, did you quit, did you quit shortly after you started. This is often what most people do. They either quit before they start and never even get started, or they quit within a short period of time after they started. Usually these people have an excuse, most of the time their excuse is quite simply, it was harder than I thought.

Creating super habits in 30 days is possible and you don't have to be an over achiever to accomplish this goal. Creating these habits will require some effort on your part but the rewards most of the time are worth the effort.

I challenge you to change something about yourself you don't like within the next 30 days.

Go to the next step for more information.

Mind Reading Tricks - 3 Amazing Mind Reading Tricks You Can Easily Do to Impress People

Mind reading tricks are not solely for those gifted with ESP anymore. There are ways to get around that inborn gift clause thanks to the power of Science and observation!

But what purpose do mind reading tricks serve? Well, knowing what's on other people's mind can be pretty convenient when it comes to closing a deal or making a decision regarding a relationship. If you're interested to learn more, read on!

Mind Reading Tricks Number 1: Enlarged Pupils

Alright, so you don't have ESP. But you were born with eyes, remember? Use your powers of observation and focus on the pupils of the person you're talking to.

When their pupils enlarge, that means they are interested in what you have to say or in your personality. It's a positive thing so you can merrily continue doing what you were doing.

Mind Reading Tricks Number 2: How Close Can You Get

Mind reading tricks are most evident when two people know each other very well. It's like saying you're so close to that person you can even read their mind.

Well, the logic behind this concept is that you have been observing this person for a long time already. You know the mood swings, the attitude and the preferences of that person.

So when something is bothering your close friend or family member, you already have a pretty good idea of what's on their mind.

Mind Reading Tricks Number 3: Priming People

Another way to get around ESP and exercise mind reading tricks is through priming. When you prime people, you already have a basic idea of what they're going to do. You set them thinking of something related to the main question you want to pose to them later on.

For example, if you drill people on the importance of the environment and then ask them which candidate they're going to vote for, they would most likely go with the candidate who cares more about the environment. But you should already have predicted that.

Mind reading tricks can be very fun to apply. They can help you make all the right moves and even amaze the people around you.

Now you can easily amaze anyone with 11 secret mind reading tricks you can easily perform, and easily make people do anything you want using proven mind control techniques.
